Install from Atlassian Marketplace

Log in as a Jira Administrator, navigate to Apps → Find new apps, search for "Mind Map Studio", and click "Try it free" to start your 30-day evaluation.

Open Mind Map in Jira Projects or Issues

Open any Jira Project sidebar and click "Mind Map Studio", or open any Jira Issue and click the "Mind Map" action in the glance sidebar panel.

Brainstorm & Decompose Epics with Shortcuts

Click on the central node to begin. Press Tab to add a child user story or Enter to insert a sibling task at the same hierarchy level. Press F2 to rename inline.

Embed Living Maps into Confluence Pages

Type /mindmap on any Confluence Cloud page, choose your saved project map, and configure full-screen presentation or interactive zoom mode.

Mind Map Studio includes a native Confluence macro that renders living, real-time Jira node diagrams directly inside Confluence documentation.

1Open any Confluence page in edit mode.
2Type /mindmap in the editor and press Enter.
3Select the Jira project and specific mind map you wish to embed.
4Choose display height and interaction permissions (Interactive vs. Presentation View).
5Publish the page. Team members can zoom, pan, and expand branches in real time.

How does real-time bi-directional sync work with Jira?

Mind Map Studio communicates directly through official Atlassian Forge APIs. Any title rename, status change, or issue link on the visual canvas updates Jira instantly, and backlog changes stream directly to your mind map.

Where is our Jira data stored?

All canvas structures and issue links remain 100% inside your Atlassian Cloud organization in Forge Key-Value Storage (KVS). No customer data is ever sent to external databases.

Does it support private mind maps vs. project-wide sharing?

Yes. Mind Map Studio allows creating project-wide public maps visible to your entire squad, as well as private workspace maps for early personal discovery and architecture spikes.
